Cooling for the Club

It’s important to stretch before and after physical activity. Tesla doesn’t understand, what with him being a cat and all, but he does a lot of stretching anyway so I hope that makes up for it being less targeted. Got to admit, when Clara was going from door-to-door handing out copies of Exercising With Your Cat: The Only True Fitness, I was sceptical. But then this entire apartment block is built on the sharing of ideas.

Well, blow me down with a feather. This stuff really works! I will say that Tesla joins in a bit less than I would like, but I also like to think he gets the fundamentals and it’s a healthy, rigorous time for both of us to enjoy. Extra important now that summer is coming and everyone wants to look their best.

Back when I used to live in Canberra, air conditioning vans used to come around and fix us up for the summer. It was almost like you didn’t NEED to exercise, since you were obviously so warm that you just didn’t see the point. Tesla never seemed to complain, but then he has a permanent fur coat and he sleeps most of the day in his basket under the stairs. It’s right next to the boiler, just the way he likes it. Just rousing him for a hearty session of physical exercise can be a bit of a pain, but at least it’s getting warmer!

Melbourne summers aren’t like those in Sydney, all up and down and never knowing what you’re going to get. That’s why I need to get air con in this place sorted out, because all the ventilation in the world wouldn’t really help if the degrees soared and I was stuck inside for a day. Maybe even Tesla would come out of his cupboard for something like that!

I’ll raise it at the meeting. These people are from Canberra, air conditioning service information leaking out of their ears like professionals. Or, you know…so I hope.
